Prize-Winning Performance with the Dallas Chamber Symphony
The First Prize winner of the Dallas International Piano Competition wins a subscription concert engagement with the Dallas Chamber Symphony, to be scheduled in the 2016-2017 concert season. The winner may perform his or her concerto, or negotiate another piece with the DCS Artistic Director. The winner agrees to be available for all orchestra rehearsals.
First Place: $1,500
Second Place: $1,000
Third Place: $500
Honorable Mentions: $400
The Dallas International Piano Competition and SMU Meadows School of the Arts are committed to the development of pianists, and offer important professional opportunities to all invited contestants.
Pianists may apply to participate in the Competition and/or the Master Classes.
The 2017 master classes on solo repertoire will be given by Boris Slutsky, Angela Cheng, Enrico Elisi, Ning An and Dr. Carol Leone.
