Dallas, TX- The DCS International Piano Competition announces the prizes for the winners of the first competition held in March of 2013.
Prizes will consist of cash awards and performance opportunities. A total of three prize winners will be chosen by a distinguished jury, including Andrey Ponochevny, Pamela Mia Paul and Young-Hyun Cho. The DCS International Piano Competition will distribute a total amount of $3000 in prizes: $1500 for the First Prize, $1,000 for the Second Prize and $500 for the Third Prize.
In addition to the monetary prizes, the First Prize Winner is provided a professional concert engagement, to perform his or her winning concerto, with the Dallas Chamber Symphony, April 30, 2013 at City Performance Hall.
The DCS International Piano Competition will be held from March 14th through 16th, 2013 in the Caruth Auditorium at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The competition is presented in partnership between the Dallas Chamber Symphony and the Meadows School of the Arts. All rounds and competition events are free and open to public.
The Dallas Chamber Symphony will accompany the International Piano Competition winner in concert on April 30, 2013 at the City Performance Hall in Dallas, Texas.
